The crisis at the southern border continues as thousands of migrants cross illegally. Vice President Kamala Harris has been put in charge by the Biden administration to not only address the border issues, but to prioritize it.

Many ask why Harris, after several months, has still not visited the border. A journalist again asked Madame Vice President when she plans on journeying south.

“I said I’m going to go to the border. The administration has asked me… (the journalist continues to press for a date) I’m not finished. I said I am going to the border. Also if we are going to deal with the problems at the border we have to deal with the problems that cause people to go to the border. I’ll keep you posted.”

Earlier this week the vice president visited Guatemala leaders, asking migrants to stop coming.

Guest-Host, Craig Collins, says Harris is giving herself an inflicted self-wound by not just answering the question of when.

“It’s the same narrative, every single time. This narrative of ‘I can’t go to the border because that’s a grand gesture. I can’t go to the border because I’m a politician who’s focusing on a bigger picture thing here. I’m focusing on a way to solve this problem by working with other world leaders.”

Even other political leaders, such as Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar, has personally invited the VP to see for herself what is happening. He encourages her to talk with Americans who live near the border, migrants on why they came, and local leaders on what really needs done.

Until then Cuellar, along with the rest of the nation, is waiting for Vice President Harris to keep us posted…
