INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead and another is in critical condition after shootings on the city’s east side.
The first shooting happened just before 11 a.m. Monday at 2914 Priscilla Ave. Officers arrived and found a man who had been shot. He died before he could be taken to a hospital.
At the same time, officers received a call to Arlington Woods Middle School at 5801 E. 30th Street. Officers arrived and found a man who had been shot. He was taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition.
IMPD said Arlington Woods Middle School was closed for the year and no children were at the school. Investigators do not think shots were fired on school grounds.
IMPD Homicide detectives are investigating.
