SEATTLE — Starbucks is joining the growing list of national businesses that are dropping mask requirements for customers who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Starting today, the world’s biggest coffee house chain says masks are “optional for vaccinated customers unless local regulations require them by law.”

Costco, Sam’s Club, Target, Trader Joe’s, and Walmart are some of the chains where masks are optional for customers who are vaccinated.

The CDC said last Thursday that people who are vaccinated don’t need to wear masks in most settings.
