INDIANAPOLIS — A violent Wednesday night in Indianapolis.

At around 8:45 p.m. police were called about shots fired in the area of 37th and Salem. Officers arrived to find two people, a man, and a woman, with gunshot wounds.

Rev. Charles Harrison, leader of the Indianapolis Ten Point Coalition, said on Twitter that the shooting happened at a birthday party.

“The Butler Talkington Indy TenPoint patrol team heard 25 shots around 37th and Salem,” Harrison said. “The TenPoint patrol team went to the area. A person has been shot & paramedics are trying to revive the person.”

The man later died according to police. A few hours later early Thursday morning, a man was found shot to death in a parking lot on the east side along East 21st Street.

No victim or suspect information has been released in either shooting.
