INDIANAPOLIS — A man has been arrested and charged for fatally shooting someone on I-65.
At around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, state police were notified of an unconscious gunshot victim. An investigation revealed the shooting happened on I-65 near Lafayette Road.
The victim — Malik Phillips, 24, of Indianapolis — was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Phillips was a passenger in a purple Toyota Scion when shots were fired from another moving vehicle.
On Thursday, state police served a search warrant at a home on the west side of Indianapolis. During the search warrant, Antonio King, 28, of Indianapolis was arrested on the preliminary charge of murder.
