INDIANAPOLIS — Starting this summer, Hoosiers in need of sandy beaches and sunshine can catch a direct flight from Indianapolis International Airport to Pensacola, Florida.
Spirit will offer service to Pensacola four times weekly, with flights departing on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays beginning on June 11.
“This is the first nonstop flight out of Indianapolis to Pensacola, and it was our largest unserved Florida destination,” said Indianapolis Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriguez. “Spirit is listening to customers and responding with nonstop destination options that fit traveler demand. That creates new opportunities for Indy travelers.”
Currently, Spirit offers nonstop flights out of Indianapolis to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, Tampa, and Las Vegas.
