COLUMBUS, Ind. — Two men were arrested for drunk driving at Columbus fast-food restaurants on Sunday morning, according to Columbus police.
Paris Prophete and Jared Schoen were found unresponsive in their cars in a restaurant’s drive-thru lane.
Police found Paris Prophete, 29, asleep in his car in the drive-thru at White Castle at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday. A witness told police they saw Prophete driving recklessly and crashing into snowbanks before pulling into the drive-thru. Prophete failed multiple field sobriety tests and a blood test showed he was two times over the legal limit.
Prophete was arrested for Operating a Vehicle with a BAC of .15% or greater and taken to the Bartholomew County Jail.
At 4:15 a.m., Columbus police found 23-year-old Jared Schoen unconscious in the driver’s seat of his car at the McDonald’s drive-thru. Schoen had his foot on the brake and the vehicle was still in gear. Police put Schoen’s vehicle in neutral and pushed the car away from the drive-thru wall after they had difficulty waking him up.
After a blood test, Schoen was arrested for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and taken to the Bartholomew County Jail.
