INDIANAPOLIS — Hoosiers age 65 and older are now eligible to receive the coronavirus vaccine, the Indiana Department of Health announced Monday.

The vaccine is free and appointments can be made using ourshot.in.gov. Hoosiers who do not have internet access, or who experience issues scheduling online, can call 211 for assistance. A caregiver or loved one can make an appointment on behalf of an eligible senior.

The vaccine requires two doses for full immunity. The second vaccine dose will be scheduled at the time the first dose is administered.

Additional groups of eligible Hoosiers will be added as more vaccine becomes available.
