COLUMBUS, Ind. — A Columbus man is being held in the Bartholomew County Jail after police say he stabbed a woman multiple times early Thursday morning.

Columbus police were called to a home on Woodlane Drive just before 3 a.m. Thursday. When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been stabbed multiple times.

She was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital and is expected to survive.

Inside the home, police also found the suspect, 37-year-old Gregory Taskey. Taskey was arrested and taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on a preliminary charge of battery with a deadly weapon.
