INDIANAPOLIS — A man is facing reckless driving charges after he posted a social media video showing him driving a Lamborghini over 200 miles per hour in Indianapolis.
Indiana State Police say in the video that was uploaded in November, Gabriel Sleiman was behind the wheel of the sports car, reaching speeds of 213 MPH on I-465. He slowed down to 198 MPH to pass a car.
“An investigation like this is unique,” ISP Sgt. John Perrine said. “It may seem so cut-and-dry to most people that we just see the video and file charges based on that, but we have to come up with further proof.”
Perrine said that’s why it took two months to investigate before they handed the case to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. Sleiman is now charged with reckless driving.
