Woman Stabbed on East Side, in Critical Condition

INDIANAPOLIS — A woman is in critical condition after being stabbed early Tuesday morning on the city’s east side.
IMPD says the stabbing happened in the Missionaries of Charity, Queen of Peace building, a women’s shelter, on East 10th Street just before 6 a.m.
The victim was stabbed in the neck, according to IMPD. She was transported to a local hospital.
A suspect is in custody.
