STATEWIDE – The number of counties that are in “red” on the Indiana Department of Health’s COVID map continues to rise.

Wednesday’s update from the ISDH shows 57 of Indiana’s 92 counties — nearly 2/3 — are in “red,” meaning the highest chance of community spread. Last week, only 45 counties were in “red.” At the start of December, it was just 16.

Counties that are in “red” have stronger restrictions, including social gatherings being no larger than 25 people. High schools are limiting attendance at basketball games to parents only.
