ANDERSON, Ind. — De’torio Fleming, the 16-year-old boy named as a suspect in a Sunday shooting has turned himself in to Anderson police.
Fleming is being charged with murder and a felony charge of attempted robbery. According to police, Fleming met with 17-year-old Andon Oliver at the Fairview Apartments to buy some marijuana. Something went wrong, and that’s when investigators say Fleming shot and killed Oliver.
Although Fleming is only 16, he’ll be charged as an adult.
If he’s convicted, he could spend anywhere from 45 to 65 years in prison for murder, and another possible 20 to 40 years for armed robbery.
