INDIANAPOLIS — A woman high at the wheel nearly hurt two people on the side of the interstate Monday.

State police say Sandra Conor, a 66-year-old from Indy, was heading south on I-69 north of Indianapolis. She came upon an INDOT Hoosier Helper truck on the side of the highway helping out another person who’s car was stranded.

“The Hoosier Helper had stopped to assist a stranded vehicle and his truck was parked on the shoulder with emergency lights activated,” said ISP Sgt. John Perrine. “A red Chevrolet Cruze ran off the roadway and sideswiped the driver’s side of the Hoosier Helper truck.”

No one was hurt in the collision. Conor was arrested not long after when police got there and suspected her of driving while high.
