BOONE CO., Ind. — A former substitute teacher with the Zionsville Community School Corporation is in jail facing child seduction charges.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office says, in November, they received information about a child seduction case. Zionsville Schools had reported to the Indiana Department of Child Services that Shawn Martin II, 26, engaged in “inappropriate sexual conduct” with a female student.

After receiving this complaint, Boone County police opened an investigation into Martin, who was a substitute teacher for Zionsville at the time. During the investigation, police found the incident had taken place off school property.

Martin was arrested on Dec. 10 and taken to the Boone County Jail. He faces two counts of Child Seduction.
