Jon Quick
Jon Quick is Director of Operations
for WIBC and Network Indiana.
Jon joined WIBC in 1996 as Program Director, and
his role has expanded to include overseeing the management of
all on-air product for WIBC and Network Indiana.
In 2003, under his direction, WIBC earned the Marconi Award as
medium market station of the year, the radio industry's top award
from the National Association of Broadcasting. The station was
nominated for the same award in 2004.
Jon also contributes as one of Emmis Communications' programming
consultants. He works with other Emmis-owned radio stations, including
KFTK, St. Louis. In conjunction with Emmis, he also consults 10
news talk stations across Canada for Corus Entertainment.
Previous to coming to WIBC, Quick spent 15 years at WCCO, Minneapolis,
as Director of Marketing, Executive Producer of the Minnesota
Twins and Vikings Radio Networks, and Director of News and Programming.
Jon is a member of the Board of the Salvation Army, and serves
on the Board of Governors for Five Seasons Health Clubs.
He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with degrees
in speech and journalism.
News and programming teams that Quick has managed have won a
wide variety of broadcast industry awards, including seven Marconi
Awards, a Peabody, several national Edward R. Murrow Awards, and
three Crystals.
He has been named one one of America's 40 Top Program Directors
by Radio Ink magazine for five years in a row.
He resides in suburban Indianapolis with his wife Sandra, son
Jackson, three dogs and a cat.
