A Message to Veterans

Many are called, but few are chosen. That applies to many things in life. Especially if you, like the men and women of The American Legion, are a veteran whose experiences inspired you to continue your service to your fellow veterans and your community, state and nation.

We invite you to join us now. Membership brings an impressive array of benefits, of course. More important, by lending your name to the never-ending battle to preserve the rights and benefits veterans earned – and were promised by a grateful nation -- you help ensure those protections are available to you, your comrades, and those who will come after you.

We're veterans just like you, nearly 140 thousand men and women in Indiana alone, in more than 400 local and headquarters posts, whose concern about America, it’s culture and values, and its future are expressed in legislative initiatives, youth programs and veterans services. Just like you, we're "Still Serving America!"

If you are on active duty today, serving honorably anywhere in the world, or a former member of the Armed Forces who served honorably during any eligible war eras, become a member of The American Legion! You earned the right to belong. Remember, it is not the price you pay to belong; it’s the price you paid to be eligible that matters.
